The EVOCLIN Patient Brochure offers your patients an easy-to-understand introduction to the next level of acne treatment. It answers a number of basic questions about acne, lists tips on dealing with the condition, explains the benefits of EVOCLIN and the VersaFoam® application vehicle, and notes important safety information. We encourage you to print it out or email it to your patients.

The Patient Brochure also carefully explains how to apply EVOCLIN properly, an essential element in treating patients successfully. It is highly recommended that you explain to patients the proper application procedure for this new treatment.

Patient Brochure Highlights

EVOCLIN

  • EVOCLIN is a once-a-day topical clindamycin foam for the treatment of acne.
  • EVOCLIN is not just easy to apply. It will launch a massive attack on your acne and is unlike anything else out there.
  • EVOCLIN actually melts with body heat when you put it on, so that you can spread it over any size area and get the medicine where you need it.
  • Unlike typical acne treatments, EVOCLIN leaves no fragrance or film on your skin.
  • Its VersaFoam Vehicle leaves minimal residue on your skin, is non-staining and non-bleaching, dissolves quickly and does not drip.
  • Best of all, you only apply EVOCLIN Foam once a day.

Safety

  • Side effects can occur when using any acne product, including EVOCLIN. Side effects may include burning, itching, dryness or headache.
  • Clindamycin, the antibiotic in EVOCLIN may cause diarrhea. If you experience diarrhea, stop using EVOCLIN and call your doctor immediately. Do not use EVOCLIN if you are allergic to clindamycin or the antibiotic lincomycin, or if you have a history of colitis.

What is Acne?

  • Acne means anything from pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and nodules (large, painful lesions lodged deep within the skin) to pus-filled cysts.
  • Acne usually occurs on the chest, back, shoulders and face.
  • Its exact cause is unknown, but doctors believe it results from rising hormone levels and may be caused by heredity.
  • If acne is a problem for you, you can be treated by a dermatologist or family practitioner. Depending on your acne, your doctor will recommend a medicine applied to your skin (topical medicine), taken by mouth (oral medicine), or a combination.
  • Also see our Facts About Acne page for a quick background summary to give to your patients.
